About the position

The Java Back End Developer position at MSys Inc. is a long-term hybrid role based in Richmond, Virginia. The successful candidate will serve as a senior back-end application developer within the DMAS Information Management Division, focusing on the design, development, and maintenance of Java/JEE based applications. This role requires extensive experience in building enterprise applications and a strong understanding of various Java technologies and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java/JEE based applications.
• Implement enterprise applications using Java EE technologies.
• Utilize Core Java concepts including OOP Design, Multi Threading, and Exception Handling.
• Work with relational databases, specifically Oracle.
• Develop and manage Git workflows for version control.
• Create CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for project management and deployment.
• Implement testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, and JUnit.
• Work with IBM SOA products including IIB/ACE, ODM, and MQ.
• Engage in front-end development using Node.js and Angular.

Requirements

• 5 years of extensive practical experience in building enterprise applications using Java EE technologies.
• 5 years of expertise in Core Java concepts such as OOP Design, Multi Threading, and Collections.
• 5 years of understanding of relational database concepts with experience in Oracle.
• 5 years of experience developing with Git workflows.
• 3 years of experience developing CI/CD pipelines and automation.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of experience using Azure DevOps.
• 2 years of experience with testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, and JUnit.
• 2 years of experience with IBM SOA products like IIB/ACE, ODM, and MQ.
• 1 year of experience with front-end development using Node.js and Angular.
