About the position

We are seeking a skilled Java Back End Developer with expertise in Kafka to join our team at Walmart in Sunnyvale, CA. This position is a contract role that requires a strong background in back-end development, particularly with Java, and hands-on experience with Kafka and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable back-end systems that support our applications and services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of our systems. In this role, you will be expected to leverage your knowledge of Kafka for real-time data processing and messaging, ensuring that our applications can handle high volumes of data efficiently. Your experience with Kubernetes will be crucial for deploying and managing containerized applications in a cloud environment. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and optimizing existing systems, as well as implementing best practices for software development and deployment. As part of the development team, you will contribute to the overall architecture and design of our systems, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and secure. You will participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior developers, and collaborate with other teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.
