About the position

The Senior Software Engineer (backend) position focuses on developing and testing enterprise-level backend code in a Java environment. The role requires collaboration with Agile teams and business analysts to ensure that requirements are understood and met effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend code for applications
• Review and validate the requirements and functional specifications
• Work closely with Agile Team Coordinators and Business Analysts to understand requirements
• Participate in regular meetings and speak to their processes

Requirements

• Experience with Spring MVC
• Experience with JPA
• Experience with UNIX
• Strong SQL skills
• Knowledge of design patterns
• Experience with Spring framework
• Web service development experience
• Experience with Tomcat
• Experience with SOAP & REST API integration
• Proficient in JavaScript
• Significant experience with JavaScript frameworks such as JQuery, React, and React Native
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with HTML5
• High level of organizational skills
