About the position

The Core Java Backend Developer position is a contract role based in either Mountain View, CA or San Diego, CA, following a hybrid work model. The role requires strong expertise in Core Java and related technologies, with a focus on coding, debugging, and performance testing of REST APIs. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of microservices and design patterns, and be able to adapt code quickly as per project needs.

Responsibilities

• Write and modify code efficiently as per project requirements.
• Debug code in a timely manner.
• Develop and test REST APIs, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Conduct automated unit testing using Junit and Mockito.
• Demonstrate understanding of key design patterns and microservices architecture.
• Utilize version control and CI pipeline tools effectively.
• Work with messaging frameworks as needed.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in REST APIs and performance testing.
• Experience with automated unit testing frameworks like Junit and Mockito.
• Good understanding of design patterns and microservices.
• Familiarity with version control systems and CI pipelines.
• Exposure to messaging frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Java 1.8 features.
