About the position

The Java Backend Developer position at Mphasis focuses on developing and maintaining backend systems using Java and MongoDB, with a strong emphasis on cloud technologies like AWS. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend systems using Java and J2EE.
• Design and customize MongoDB applications.
• Implement database updates and migrations.
• Debug and troubleshoot database issues.
• Analyze databases and optimize performance.
• Understand and implement backup and disaster recovery plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of overall experience in software engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in Java, J2EE programming, and Spring Framework.
• Strong experience with MongoDB and coding practices.
• Hands-on experience with version control and Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically AWS and Google Cloud.
• Understanding of relational databases such as Oracle and MS SQL Server.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of big data platforms such as Cassandra, Hadoop, and MarkLogic.
