About the position

Innova Solutions is seeking a Java Backend Developer for a full-time contract position based in Charlotte, NC. The role involves leading and contributing to moderately complex initiatives within technical domains, focusing on the design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software engineering, particularly in Java/J2EE, and will be responsible for resolving technical challenges, collaborating with peers, and guiding less experienced staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead or be involved in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.
• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments.
• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures.
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs.
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience in developing integrated and secure enterprise or web-based applications using Java/J2EE.
• 2+ years of experience with business process workflow software.
• 4+ years of experience with Spring/Spring Boot Frameworks.
• 4+ years of experience with developing Microservices.
• Experience working with REST Services.
• Experience with API development and knowledge of common design patterns.
• Experience with unit testing of Java backend code.
