About the position

The Java Backend Developer will be responsible for customizing and integrating backend services within the WebSphere Commerce (WCS) platform. This role requires a solid understanding of SQL and relational databases, as well as experience in integrating WCS with third-party systems. The developer will focus on performance tuning, scalability, and high traffic optimization while utilizing Agile methodologies and various development tools.

Responsibilities

• Customize backend services and data beans within the WCS platform.
• Integrate WebSphere Commerce with third-party systems using REST/SOAP web services.
• Optimize backend performance for scalability and high traffic.
• Utilize Agile methodologies in the development process.
• Work with development tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, and JIRA.
• Troubleshoot and debug backend issues effectively.
• Implement DevOps practices using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or Ansible.

Requirements

• Experience with WCS customization, including backend services and integrations.
• Solid understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., DB2, Oracle).
• Experience in integrating WebSphere Commerce with third-party systems using REST/SOAP web services.
• Familiarity with performance tuning and optimizing backend systems.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and development tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, and JIRA.
• Strong problem-solving skills focused on backend troubleshooting and optimization.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or Ansible.
