About the position

The Java Backend Developer role involves designing and implementing highly available and scalable backend software components using Java. The position requires a strong focus on delivering high-quality code through automated testing and continuous integration, while also engaging in design and code reviews to ensure robust software development.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available and scalable backend software components in Java.
• Develop automated tests and deliver high quality code to production within a short development cycle in the Continuous Integration and delivery environment.
• Conduct design and code reviews, fix bugs, and resolve production issues.
• Analyze requirements and prepare design based on strong OOP skills.
• Develop robust, scalable software systems.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 5 years solid server-side development with Java.
• Solid foundational knowledge of computer engineering and intellectual curiosity to understand the business.
• Strong OOP skills and ability to analyze requirements and prepare design.
• Solid knowledge of basic algorithms.
• Experience working with relational databases.
• Experience with REST APIs, Web Services, Unit and functional testing.
• Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams in multiple time zones.
