About the position

The Java Backend Developer role is focused on developing software applications using Java and related technologies. The position requires extensive experience in programming, particularly with Java 17 and Spring Boot, and involves delivering end-to-end solutions while adhering to Agile methodologies. The developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and compliance with industry standards, particularly in the financial technology sector.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of AWS cloud-based applications, optimizing performance and ensuring cost efficiency.
• Leverage BPM tools like Apian to automate and enhance business processes.
• Utilize Apache Kafka for building real-time data processing applications.
• Deploy and manage applications on Amazon EKS, ensuring efficient orchestration and scaling of containerized workloads.
• Contribute to the streamlining of development workflows through continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines using DevOps tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and compliance with industry standards.
• Support cloud deployments on AWS, utilizing monitoring tools such as Splunk and CloudWatch to ensure high availability and performance.
• Work closely with stakeholders to meet business objectives while adhering to security and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant client experience in similar technology (excluding training period).
• At least 5 years of on-site client experience in similar technology and domain.
• Bachelor's degree in technology; Master's preferred.
• Expertise in Java 17, Spring Boot 3.0, and Python.
• Proficient in delivering end-to-end (E2E) solutions.
• Experience with DevOps tools and cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Familiarity with BPM tools like Apian for process automation.
• Strong understanding of financial technologies and industry regulations.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Agile/iterative development methodologies.
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka for building real-time data pipelines.
• Experience with container orchestration for deploying and managing containerized applications.
