About the position

The Java Backend Developer role is designed for an experienced software developer with a strong background in Java-based enterprise applications. The position focuses on developing and maintaining backend services, particularly in a microservices architecture, while ensuring efficient deployment and integration with various data sources and cloud applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
• Design and implement RESTful web services and microservices.
• Automate build and deployment processes using Armory/Spinnaker.
• Integrate multiple data sources, including Oracle and Postgres.
• Implement API-level security measures, such as token-based authentication.
• Conduct Java unit testing using frameworks like JUnit.
• Perform log analysis using tools like Splunk.
• Collaborate in an Agile development environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 to 12 years of professional software development experience in Java-based enterprise applications.
• Proficiency in Java 8/11 and understanding of its ecosystems.
• 2+ years of experience with REST web services and microservices.
• 2+ years of experience with automated build and deployment pipelining using Armory/Spinnaker.
• 5+ years of experience with Spring and SpringBoot.
• 1+ year of experience integrating multiple data sources, including Oracle and/or Postgres.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Experience in an Agile development environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience integrating cloud-based applications via AWS queues/topics.
• Experience implementing API-level security, e.g., token-based.
• Experience with Java Unit Testing (such as JUnit).
• Proficient in Git and GitHub.
• Proficient in log analysis tools, e.g., Splunk.
