About the position

The Java Backend Services Developer will be a key member of an agile squad, responsible for implementing new features and enhancing capabilities using modern software engineering practices. The role emphasizes adherence to established standards and a commitment to continuous improvement, ensuring a positive customer experience through responsible risk management and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Implement new features while maintaining overall quality of software
• Contribute to a culture of learning by documenting and sharing technical knowledge as a developer on an agile squad
• Participate in developer communities of practice by following best practices, participating in code reviews, and sharing knowledge
• Remain current on relevant technology trends
• Participate in researching and resolving customer issues
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Knowledge of object-oriented design and development
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Java Application Development (Java 8 or above)
• Experience with Aurora PostgreSQL
• Experience in developing Microservices
• Experience in developing Spring applications
• Knowledge of Microservice design principles
• Familiarity with Spring Framework and Spring Boot
• Experience with version control solutions, preferably Git/GitHub
• Experience with Docker
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
• Experience with Gradle
