About the position

As a Java & Big Data Developer at Lockheed Martin, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems. Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems including processing-intensive analytics and novel algorithm development.
• Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and resolve issues promptly.
• Utilize software development methodologies tailored to project needs for effective problem-solving and efficient delivery.
• Provide input to system design decisions, considering hardware/software trade-offs and requirements analysis.
• Support project maintenance including minor Java coding, scripting, and troubleshooting of Java code and COTS/GOTS.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related subject area, or four years of additional experience in lieu of a technical degree.
• Fourteen years of experience as a Software Engineer on similar programs/contracts.
• Strong experience with NiFi and Ansible.
• Proficient in Java, application servers, and RedHat Linux (knowledge of RPMs and iptables is a plus).
• Experience with Apache ZooKeeper and REST services.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS.
• Experience in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) such as JBoss and Apache Tomcat.
• Familiarity with Map Reduce programming model and technologies, Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), and Hive.
• Working knowledge of NAGIOS and DATAwave.
