About the position

The JAVA & Cloud Analytic Developer will support a government program in Hanover, MD, focusing on building and maintaining prototype analytics and tools. The role involves utilizing advanced technologies to develop analytics from various cyber sources, creating prototypes, and enhancing data representation through data science methods. The developer will work closely with customers in a collaborative environment to promote product adoption and will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and documenting big data cloud computing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytics pulling data from multiple cyber sources using leading edge technologies.
• Create prototypes to answer new questions and improve existing answers.
• Represent data using data science methods and automate analytic processes with machine learning frameworks.
• Collaborate directly with customers to promote product adoption in a highly integrated environment.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and document big data cloud computing workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus 3 years; or Associate's degree plus 7 years; or High School diploma/GED plus 9 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Java and Pig.
• Experience with Hadoop (Map Reduce, Accumulo, & HDFS).
• Experience with Linux.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
