About the position

The Java Cloud Developer is responsible for overseeing a development project, providing guidance to developers, and ensuring the design, development, and maintenance of software systems meet client requirements. This role involves using advanced technologies to develop analytics, create prototypes, and automate processes, while working collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Conceive, design, and test logical structures to meet program requirements.
• Write programs according to specifications provided.
• Build, deploy, and maintain programs, web pages, and applications.
• Develop and improve site navigation and applications.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and document big data cloud computing workflows.
• Develop analytics pulling data from multiple cyber sources and classic SIGINT.
• Research and work with AWS and other platforms for development.
• Work directly with customers in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience.
• Computer Science (CS) degree or related field.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Strong Java skills, developing software in Red Hat Linux (versions 3 - 5+).
• Experience with Java Pig, MapReduce, and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive.
• Experience with distributed scalable Big Data Store (No SQL) such as H Base, CloudBase/Accumulo, Big Tables.
• Experience with Hadoop Distributed File Systems (HDFS).
• Experience with AWS.
• Knowledge of IP Protocols and Network topologies.
• Experience with GHOSTMACHINE analytic development.
• Experience with Jira, Maven, and Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
