About the position

The Java Cloud Native Lead position is a senior role focused on leading the development and integration of cloud-native applications using Java technologies. The role requires extensive experience in Java programming, Spring frameworks, and AWS services, with a strong emphasis on batch processing and microservices architecture. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development process, ensuring best practices in coding and deployment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of cloud-native applications using Java and Spring technologies.
• Oversee batch processing and integration of applications using Spring Batch and Spring Integration.
• Implement security measures using Spring Security.
• Utilize AWS services for application deployment and management.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure effective application integration using REST and SOAP web services.
• Participate in Agile Scrum methodologies to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on best practices.

Requirements

• At least 9+ years of programming experience with Java, J2EE, XML, and Web Services.
• Proficient in Spring Batch and SQL.
• Experience with Angular (versions 4/5/6/8), JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and Spring Boot.
• Experience with application integrations (SOAP/REST Web Services, ESB, JMS, File/Data transfers).
• Strong AWS experience including AWS CodeBuild, CodeCommit, CodePipeline, Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum software development methodology.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Autosys or similar job scheduling tools.
• Testing skills related to Java applications.
