About the position

Infosys is seeking a Java Developer who will play a crucial role in interfacing with key stakeholders and applying technical proficiency across various stages of the software development life cycle (SDLC) specifically in JAVA applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for building high-throughput, fault-tolerant systems, which includes requirements elicitation, application architecture, definition, and design. This position requires the creation of high-level design artifacts and delivering high-quality code deliverables for a module. Additionally, the Java Developer will lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty. Candidates must be located within commuting distance of Plano, TX, or be willing to relocate to this area. Responsibilities

• Interface with key stakeholders to gather requirements and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the software development life cycle.
• Build high-throughput, fault-tolerant systems with a focus on application architecture and design.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in Java/J2EE technologies and frameworks like Spring and Hibernate.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience and good knowledge of web services and REST services.
• Experience with enterprise web servers, preferably WebSphere or JBoss.
• Experience in software development life cycle and project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
• Experience in application/production support, particularly in the banking domain.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
