About the position

The Java Developer (Backend Developer) role is focused on hands-on coding, requiring extensive experience in Java and related technologies. The position emphasizes the development of scalable, high-resiliency systems and microservices architecture, with a strong emphasis on coding and troubleshooting web services and RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Framework.
  • Implement RESTful APIs and ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the frontend.
  • Work with various databases including MongoDB, Oracle, and other relational or NoSQL databases.
  • Participate in the design and development of microservices architecture.
  • Collaborate with UI developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.
  • Utilize big data technologies such as Apache Hadoop, HBase, Spark, Hive, and Snowflake as needed.
  • Engage in Agile development practices and utilize SDLC tools like Maven, Jenkins, and Git.
  • Conduct testing using tools like Junit, Selenium, Mockito, and Cucumber to ensure code quality.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and reliability.

Requirements

  • 12-15 years of experience in Java development.
  • Proficiency in Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and REST.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with MongoDB, Oracle, or other databases.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and scalable systems.
  • Familiarity with UI toolsets and programming languages including Core JavaScript, Angular 11 or higher, React, CSS, HTML, Node.js, and JSON.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Hadoop, HBase, Spark, Hive, and Snowflake.
  • Agile development experience and familiarity with SDLC tools like Maven, Jenkins, and Git.
  • Solid coding and troubleshooting experience with web services and RESTful APIs.
  • Understanding of design patterns related to microservices development.
