About the position

Come work with fun, inclusive, professional people to support multiple western states in their effort to combat the growing wildfire threat. Our Fire Business System manages the costs of resources deployed on forest fires, making sure that fire departments get paid for their efforts and that the states get reimbursed by the Federal Government where appropriate. If you enjoy technical problem solving, rapid development, and a highly collaborative environment, this is a great opportunity! You should have a broad knowledge of web development technologies and demonstrated experience in their design, development, and deployment. Our team works in a fast-paced, agile development environment. You will work closely with other development disciplines, including Quality Assurance, Product Design, and Project Management. You will participate actively in projects, taking part in decisions affecting project scope, design and direction. Our team members demonstrate ownership and accountability, regularly innovate, and move our work forward individually and as a team.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple western states in their effort to combat wildfire threats.
• Manage costs of resources deployed on forest fires.
• Ensure fire departments get paid for their efforts.
• Assist states in getting reimbursed by the Federal Government.
• Participate actively in projects and decisions affecting project scope, design, and direction.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience developing web applications.
• 2+ years of professional experience with Hibernate and Spring Framework.
• Solid understanding of and experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional experience developing in Java.
• Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies.
• Experience gathering requirements and creating technical specifications.
• Solid understanding of SQL, data manipulation, database schemas, and concepts.
• Excellent communication skills.
• BS Degree in CS, CIS, MIS.
