About the position

InRhythm is seeking an experienced Java Engineer to join our team for a 4-month contract role based in Plano, TX. This position is an exciting opportunity to lead high-impact projects and collaborate with top-tier engineers in a dynamic and innovative environment. As a Java Engineer, you will be responsible for migration work, which involves designing and implementing scalable, end-to-end Java applications that drive innovation. You will work on high-velocity Scrum teams, tackling real-world challenges and making a significant impact on our projects. In this role, you will spearhead data migration projects, optimizing tools and enhancing performance to achieve remarkable results. You will have the chance to collaborate with mentors, share your expertise with junior engineers, and contribute to our vibrant community. This position requires a strong background in Java development, particularly within an enterprise environment, and a passion for coding and solving complex challenges through code. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of Java development experience, proficiency in Java 8 or 11, and mastery of Spring Boot. You should also possess a strong background in asynchronous programming and microservices, along with proven experience in data migration strategy planning and performance optimization. Familiarity with SQL, cloud technologies (preferably AWS), and a variety of tools in our tech stack will be essential for success in this role. This position is onsite in Plano, TX, requiring you to be present five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Lead data migration projects, optimizing tools and enhancing performance.
• Design and implement scalable, end-to-end Java applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Java development experience within an enterprise environment.
• Proficiency in Java 8 or 11, including lambda expressions, Stream API, and CompletableFuture.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot for building robust applications.
• Strong background in asynchronous programming and microservices architecture.
• Proven experience in data migration strategy planning and performance optimization.
• Strong SQL skills for data sourcing, modeling, and enrichment.
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS, and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with client-facing experience.
