About the position

The JAVA Developer position is a W2 contract role based in Columbus, OH, focusing on developing and maintaining Java applications. The role requires a strong understanding of data modeling, Java class structures, and web technologies, along with experience in Object Oriented development and application server technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java applications
• Implement data modeling and Java class structures
• Utilize web concepts including HTML, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, and JSP
• Work with Unix/Linux environments
• Manage application server technology, preferably Websphere
• Apply RDMS concepts, including writing queries and stored procedures
• Engage in Service Oriented Architecture and Business Process Management

Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge of data modeling
• Experience with Java class structures
• Proficiency in web concepts (HTML, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, JSP)
• Knowledge of Object Oriented development concepts
• Experience with Unix/Linux
• Familiarity with application server technology (Websphere preferred)
• Understanding of RDMS concepts, including queries and stored procedures
• Experience with Service Oriented Architecture

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS CodeDeploy
• Familiarity with Business Application Monitoring
