About the position

The Java Developer position is focused on designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving Java-based applications. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, utilizing CI/CD pipelines for automated processes, and ensuring high-quality code through best practices. The position is hybrid, requiring three days onsite and two days remote work, and is targeted at candidates with 5 to 8 years of experience in software development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve Java-based applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
• Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprints, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
• Utilize CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of experience in software development
• Proficiency in Java and at least one other programming language (e.g., Python, C#/.Net, Mean, Ruby, JSON)
• Strong understanding of SQL and experience with various database systems (e.g., MariaDB, S3, DB2, IMS)
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Broadcom Endevor, BitBucket, GitHub, Jules, Jenkins)
• Experience working with the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Jira Align)
• Knowledge of Scrum/Kanban methodologies
• Experience with developing and deploying microservices and APIs
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of z/OS Connect
