About the position

Genesis10 is seeking a Java Developer for a 24+ month contract position in the financial industry. The role involves consulting on complex initiatives, analyzing multifaceted challenges, and collaborating strategically with client personnel. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java development and be able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term Specialty Software Engineering challenges
• Contribute to the resolution of complex situations requiring understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel

Requirements

• 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience
• Java, J2EE, JavaScript
• 12+ years of experience in Java development (Coding, Unit Testing, Functional Automation)
• Expertise in Java 11/17, object-oriented design and analysis
• Experience in code management, build and deploy tools - Github, Jenkins and UDeploy
• Strong working knowledge of building cloud native applications on Pivot Cloud Foundry (PCF) or Microsoft Azure

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to work in a team of 10+ developers
• Good experience in Back-end code reviews and writing unit test cases using Junit
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
