This position involves evaluating business and system requirements, ensuring technical feasibility, estimating development effort and implementation sequence. The role includes designing, developing, and validating product/software, supporting vendor development efforts, and required coordination. You will develop Java software modules using Java and database-related technologies, provide technical direction and guidance to the engineering team/vendor, create clean, unit-tested, and refactored code, and establish development environment and guidelines. Additionally, you will research new technology, prepare detailed specifications, work with multiple stakeholders, and support testing efforts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate business and system requirements.
• Ensure technical feasibility.
• Estimate development effort and implementation sequence.
• Design, develop, and validate product/software.
• Support vendor development effort and required coordination.
• Develop Java software modules using Java and database-related technologies.
• Provide technical direction and guidance to the engineering team/vendor.
• Create clean, unit-tested, and refactored code.
• Establish development environment and development guidelines.
• Research new technology and recommend technical and architectural improvements.
• Prepare detailed specifications for programs.
• Work with multiple stakeholders to analyze requirements and clarify design dependencies.
• Support testing efforts by engaging in troubleshooting and providing solutions.

Requirements

• 3 - 7 years of experience in development with Java.
• Proficiency in Java, JSP, JavaScript, jQuery, React, Spring Framework, MyBatis, Python, Node.js.
• Experience with Oracle database.
• Familiarity with Apache, Tomcat, AWS (EC2, S3, RDS).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with .NET Framework.
• Experience in iOS App and Android App development.
• Experience with MS-SQL database.
• Familiarity with IIS.

Benefits

• $70,000+ (DOE) /yr.
