About the position

Birlasoft is seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our team in Somerset, New Jersey. This is a full-time position that offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for a blend of remote and in-office work. As a Java Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, implementing, and testing client/server business applications using Java and J2EE technologies. You will be part of a dynamic team that leverages the power of domain, enterprise, and digital technologies to reimagine business processes for our customers and their ecosystems. Our consultative and design thinking approach aims to enhance productivity and help our clients run their businesses more effectively. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in object-oriented design and development, with a strong focus on Java and J2EE technologies. You will be expected to have extensive experience in core Java, Spring/Spring Boot, JMS, JUnit, design patterns, and REST/SOAP web services. Additionally, familiarity with microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins CI/CD is essential, as well as experience with cloud-related technologies. You will also need to demonstrate expertise in Java application servers such as Apache Tomcat and JBoss, along with a solid background in database design, data modeling, and writing stored procedures, functions, and triggers in relational databases like MySQL and Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and test client/server business applications using Java and J2EE technologies.
• Utilize core Java, Spring/Spring Boot, JMS, JUnit, design patterns, and REST/SOAP web services in application development.
• Work with microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins CI/CD for continuous integration and deployment.
• Manage and optimize Java application servers such as Apache Tomcat and JBoss.
• Design and model databases, and write stored procedures, functions, and triggers in MySQL and Oracle.

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in Object Oriented Designing, Developing, Implementation, and testing in Client/Server business applications using Java & J2EE Technologies.
• 6+ years of working experience in Core Java, Spring/Spring Boot, JMS, JUnit, Design Patterns, REST/SOAP web services.
• 3+ years of working experience with Micro-services, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins CI/CD, and cloud-related technologies.
• 4+ years of experience with Java Application Servers like Apache Tomcat and JBoss.
• 4+ years of experience in database design, data modeling, and writing stored procedures, functions, and triggers in relational databases like MySQL/Oracle.
