About the position

Genesis10 is seeking a Java Developer for a 12+ month contract position in the financial industry. The role involves participating in software engineering initiatives, resolving complex challenges, and collaborating with client personnel to meet deliverables while adhering to compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering.
  • Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables.
  • Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Proficiency in Java, Angular UI, and Microservices.
  • Full stack development experience in Java/J2EE/Javascript technologies (Node.js, Angular 12.2.10, Webservices, Springboot, REST APIs).
  • Experience using SQL (database queries, DDL, DML), YML, XML, JSON, KAFKA.
  • CI/CD working knowledge with tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, Gradle, SonarQube.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug applications/programs, perform unit testing, code reviews, and quality and security checks for databases, applications, tools, networks, etc.
  • Experience with automation tools (Selenium) for the development of automated tests across application layers (UI/Service/Data).
  • Familiarity with TDD and BDD, Junit/Test NG, and Cucumber.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining reusable/scalable Automation Test frameworks (POM, TestNG, QMetry).
  • Familiarity with static code analysis, code coverage analysis, cross-browser testing, API testing, and test data management; adherence to best practices/coding standards.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum SDLC and tools like JIRA, Confluence.
  • Experience working in an offshore-onshore model and collaborating with all stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, independent, logical thinker, problem solver, team player with excellent communication, reporting, and analytical skills.
