About the position

The Java Developer role is designed for experienced professionals with a strong background in Java development and cloud services. The position requires expertise in AWS services, event-driven architectures, and DevOps practices, focusing on delivering high-quality software solutions while collaborating with external partners and managing code repositories effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java applications using JDK 1.7 and 1.8.
• Utilize AWS native services such as EC2, API Gateway, S3, SQS, SNS, ECS, and CloudWatch.
• Implement event-driven architectures and manage applications based on these paradigms.
• Manage code repositories and versions using Git or Bitbucket.
• Coordinate with external partners for seamless integration and communication.
• Oversee container management using Kubernetes, EKS, or similar frameworks.
• Set up, configure, and troubleshoot Docker environments.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Nexus Repository Manager.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues through strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ensure efficient development environments through local setup and debugging.

Requirements

• 10-17 years of experience in Java development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java frameworks and JDK 1.7 and 1.8.
• Extensive experience with AWS services and Docker.
• Proven experience with event-driven architectures.
• Expertise in code repository management with Git or Bitbucket.
• Strong experience in third-party collaboration and communication.
• Proficient in container management with Kubernetes or similar frameworks.
• Extensive DevOps CI/CD experience with Jenkins and Nexus Repository Manager.
• Strong troubleshooting and analysis skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Agile methodology.
• Excellent communication and client interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Atlassian apps (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence).
• Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog.
