About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer with over 6 years of experience to join our team in Des Moines for a long-term project lasting 12 months. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating application storyboards and use cases into functional applications for FBL. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable code to ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of our applications. The developer will identify bottlenecks and bugs, devising effective solutions to enhance application functionality and user experience. The successful candidate will be proficient in various programming languages, particularly Java, and will have a solid understanding of applicable ecosystems. Familiarity with design and architectural patterns is essential, as is the ability to write reusable code libraries. The developer will also be expected to maintain code quality, organization, and automation, ensuring that the applications are scalable and adhere to fundamental design principles. Knowledge of class loading mechanisms and experience with languages and development types such as .Net, Web, Mobile, and Reporting/Analytics will be beneficial. In addition to technical skills, the candidate should possess strong problem-solving abilities and a knack for writing clean, readable code. Responsibilities

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as an Application Developer.
• Proficient in Java and familiar with applicable languages and ecosystems.
• Strong knowledge of API, XML, JSON, JBoss, Gradle, GitHub, and SQL.
• Ability to write clean, readable, and reusable code.
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications.
• Familiarity with class loading mechanisms.
