About the position

The Java Developer position involves utilizing advanced technologies to develop analytics that pull data from various cyber sources, including classic SIGINT. The role focuses on creating prototypes to address new inquiries and enhance existing solutions, employing data science methods and automating analytic processes through machine learning frameworks. The developer will work closely with customers in a collaborative environment, designing, developing, testing, deploying, and documenting big data cloud computing workflows, particularly using Java MapReduce and AWS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytics pulling data from multiple cyber sources and classic SIGINT.
• Create prototypes to answer new questions and improve existing answers.
• Utilize data science methods to represent data and automate analytic processes.
• Collaborate directly with customers in an integrated environment.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and document big data cloud computing workflows.
• Develop answers to questions using Java MapReduce and corporate tool suites.
• Research and work with AWS and other development platforms.
• Work in a cohesive, small team environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience.
• An Associate's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 9 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience.
• TS/SCI clearance with FS polygraph.
• Strong Java skills and experience developing software in Red Hat Linux (versions 3 - 5+).
• Experience with Java Pig and MapReduce.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Hadoop and Hive.
• Experience with distributed scalable Big Data Store (No SQL) such as H Base, CloudBase/Accumulo, Big Tables.
• Experience with Hadoop Distributed File Systems (HDFS).
• Experience with AWS.
• Knowledge of IP Protocols and Network topologies.
• Experience with GHOSTMACHINE analytic development.
• Familiarity with Jira, Maven, and Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivation.
