About the position

The Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a suite of Risk Management Applications for intra-day risk management within a financial services context. This role involves collaborating with business analysts and users to drive system requirements, performing unit and integration testing, and ensuring the quality of deliverables meets high standards.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining suite of Risk Management Applications for intra-day risk management.
• Working with business analysts and users to drive system requirements and provide technical recommendations.
• Performing unit testing, integration testing, and deployment of components/applications to production.
• Collaborating with other developers within the team to complete project deliverables.
• Ensuring overall quality of deliverables is consistent with high quality standards.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of overall experience in software development.
• Strong experience in Core JAVA.
• Some experience with KDB.
• Knowledge of financial products like Bonds and Derivatives, and risk parameters like Delta, Gamma, and Theta.
• Experience with RESTful Web Services/SOA architectures and design patterns.
• Strong technical analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Self-motivated individual and a team player.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in streaming frameworks like Flink/Samza would be a big plus.
