About the position

Genesis10 is seeking a Java Developer for a 24+ month contract position in the financial industry. The role involves consulting on complex initiatives, analyzing multifaceted challenges, and collaborating strategically with client personnel to meet deliverables in Specialty Software Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term Specialty Software Engineering challenges
• Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel

Requirements

• 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience or equivalent through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education
• Proficiency in Java, J2EE, JavaScript

Nice-to-haves

• 12+ years of experience in Java development (Coding, Unit Testing, Functional Automation) using Micro Services, Java Spring boot, REST API
• Expertise in Java 11/17, object-oriented design and analysis, programming designs and design patterns
• Experience in code management, build and deploy tools like Github, Jenkins, and UDeploy
• Strong working knowledge of building cloud native applications on Pivot Cloud Foundry (PCF) or Microsoft Azure
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
