About the position

Genesis10 is seeking a Java Developer for a contract position in the financial industry located in Iselin, NJ. The role involves consulting on and participating in moderately complex initiatives within Specialty Software Engineering, contributing to large-scale planning, and resolving engineering challenges while collaborating with client personnel.

Responsibilities

• Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Specialty Software Engineering.
• Review and analyze moderately complex Specialty Software Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Specialty Software Engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate with client personnel in Specialty Software Engineering.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Strong understanding and experience with Java 8 or higher (Core Java), Spring Framework, Multithreading, Collection Framework.
• Good understanding of SDLC and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Experience with Autosys, CICD tools like Jenkins, uDeploy, Gradle.
• Strong experience with SQLs/stored procedures using MS SQL Server or Oracle database.
• Familiarity with caches like Concur or Redis caching.
• Experience with Rest API, Apache Tomcat.
• Experience using Solace and MQ messaging.

Nice-to-haves

• Capital Markets experience.
