The Java Developer position is a critical role within the Enterprise Delivery team, responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of software applications primarily using Java and Oracle technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing customer-facing applications and will be adept at handling both critical and non-critical incidents. This role requires the ability to run automated test scripts and familiarity with test cases, as well as experience in either automated or manual QA testing. The Java Developer will be tasked with processing data through Java to ensure that data requests are effectively displayed to customers, making experience with SQL queries essential. In this position, the developer will create user information solutions by developing and maintaining internet and intranet applications. Responsibilities include defining objectives by analyzing user requirements, designing and developing user interfaces, and setting expectations throughout the development life cycle. The role also involves integrating applications by designing database architecture and server scripting, as well as establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers. The Java Developer will contribute to team meetings, troubleshoot development and production problems, and support users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
