About the position

CGI is seeking a Java Developer to join their Investment Banking Capital Market IT team. This role involves working with the latest technology stack to solve complex business problems within an Agile framework. The position is based in Jersey City and requires a hybrid work model, with 2-3 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance, high-availability, scalable, distributed applications for investment banking capital markets.
• Design and build web services using SpringBoot and REST APIs.
• Work with J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Multithreading, JMS, and MQ technologies.
• Manage databases such as Oracle and Sybase.
• Collaborate within an Agile development environment.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in Java/J2EE development in the Investment Banking Capital Markets domain.
• 5+ years of experience with web services development using SpringBoot / REST APIs.
• Experience in J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Multithreading, JMS, and MQ.
• 5+ years of experience with Unix.
• Experience with databases like Oracle and Sybase.

Nice-to-haves

• Functional domain knowledge of Prime Services.
• Agile development experience.
