About the position

The Java Developer role is a full-time position based in Hartford, CT, focused on the design and development of applications using Java technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading teams and developing microservices, as well as a strong understanding of cloud-based solutions and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications using Java 8+/J2EE, Spring, Spring-Boot, and RESTful Services.
• Lead a team of developers in project execution.
• Develop microservices using Spring-Boot and REST API.
• Implement cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as EC2, IAM, S3, and Lambda.
• Utilize ORM frameworks like JPA/Hibernate for database interactions.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Java application design and development.
• 4+ years of experience in microservices development using Spring-Boot and REST API.
• Strong knowledge of ORM frameworks, specifically JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• 2+ years of experience with UI frameworks such as Angular or ReactJS.
• 1+ years of experience in designing cloud-based solutions using AWS services.
• Proficient in RDBMS, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Strong experience with DevOps tools including Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven/Gradle, and GIT/BitBucket.
• Good understanding of security, transaction management, monitoring, and performance concepts.
