About the position

The Senior J2EE Developer will be responsible for working on the Product Definition and Offer application suite. This role involves the development and testing of new software solutions within the product configuration space. The resource will be part of an agile team that operates on two-week iterations, contributing to a fast-paced group with high-priority deliverables. The position requires a strong background in Core Java and J2EE, as well as experience with SQL Server, ORM/JPA, and web services (both SOAP and REST). The developer will also be expected to perform unit testing and functional testing to ensure the quality and functionality of the software being developed. This is a hybrid position, requiring the resource to be onsite at least one day a week in Dearborn, MI, and it is a contract role lasting 12 months or more.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test new software solutions within the product configuration space.
• Contribute to an agile team with two-week iterations.
• Perform unit testing and functional testing on developed software.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-priority deliverables are met.
• Work on the Product Definition and Offer application suite.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Core Java/J2EE experience.
• 6+ years of SQL Server experience.
• 5+ years of experience with ORM/JPA.
• 3+ years of experience with SOAP and REST web services.
• 3+ years of experience in unit testing and functional testing.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
