About the position

The Java Developer position at Infosys involves interfacing with key stakeholders and applying technical proficiency throughout various stages of the software development life cycle for JAVA applications. The role focuses on building high-throughput, fault-tolerant systems, creating high-level design artifacts, and delivering high-quality code. The candidate will also provide validation for testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty, all while being part of a collaborative and diverse learning culture.

Responsibilities

• Interface with key stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Build high-throughput, fault-tolerant systems in JAVA applications.
• Create high-level design artifacts for software projects.
• Deliver high-quality code for assigned modules.
• Provide validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty.
• Participate in the software development life cycle and project life cycle activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in Core Java and Webservices.

Nice-to-haves

• At least 2 to 6 years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies.
• Experience with frameworks like Spring and Hibernate.
• Good knowledge of webservices and REST services.
• Experience with enterprise web servers, preferably WebSphere or JBoss.
• Experience in software development life cycle and project life cycle activities.
• Experience in application/production support.
• Experience in the Banking domain.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a diverse/multiple stakeholder environment.
• Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
