About the position

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our remote team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver new features. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java development and be comfortable working in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
• Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.
• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.
• Prepare and produce releases of software components.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Java development experience
• Hands on experience with OpenShift and AWS
• Kafka expertise (or similar messaging service)
• Experience working within a Spring Boot, Microservices environment.
