About the position

The Java Developer position at Randstad US in Irving, Texas, is a permanent role focused on developing and implementing software applications using Java and UI technologies, particularly Angular. The role requires strong technical skills, project management capabilities, and the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple projects. The developer will collaborate with business partners to translate requirements into technical designs and deliver high-quality code, while also taking on some leadership responsibilities within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide SME support and assist in answering any client queries with respect to applications core capabilities.
  • Work with business partners and analysts to understand operational processes and translate business requirements into technical designs.
  • Act as a Senior Development Member of the team with strong Java backend experience and proven ability to design and build enterprise-level solutions.
  • Implement web applications using Angular 8 or above, JavaScript, Bootstrap, HTML5, JSON, CSS, and Ajax.
  • Utilize Jasmine and Karma for testing.
  • Maintain a strong background in Java Spring Framework, Hibernate, and RDBMS.
  • Execute Unix/Linux commands and have basic scripting knowledge.
  • Work with Advanced SOAP/REST Clients or similar technologies.
  • Monitor and control all phases of the development process, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
  • Provide user and operational support on applications to business users.
  • Operate with a limited level of direct supervision and exercise independence of judgment.
  • Act as SME to senior stakeholders and team members, assessing risks in business decisions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Java Developer.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Core Java and OOPS concepts.
  • Experience in UI technologies including Angular UI.
  • Good understanding of Micro Services Architecture and SQL.
  • Comfortable working with XML parsing, JSON, and third-party libraries.
  • Proficient in project management techniques and methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with automated testing tools like JUnit.
  • Familiarity with Git, IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, Maven, TeamCity, and JIRA.
  • Certification as a Java SE 8 Programmer and Angular Level 2.
