About the position

The Java Developer position is a permanent role based in Irving, Texas, focused on developing and implementing software applications using Java and UI technologies such as Angular. The role requires a strong background in systems analysis, project management, and the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple projects. The candidate will be expected to provide subject matter expertise, collaborate with business partners, and deliver high-quality code while adhering to design standards and frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide SME support and assist in answering any client queries with respect to applications core capabilities.
  • Work with business partners and analysts to understand operational processes and translate business requirements into technical designs.
  • Act as a Senior Development Member of the team with strong Java backend experience and leadership responsibilities.
  • Implement web applications using Angular 8 or above, JavaScript, Bootstrap, HTML5, JSON, CSS, and Ajax.
  • Utilize Jasmine and Karma for testing.
  • Maintain a strong background in Java Spring Framework, Hibernate, and RDBMS.
  • Execute Unix/Linux commands and possess basic scripting knowledge.
  • Work with Advanced SOAP/REST Clients or similar technologies.
  • Monitor and control all phases of the development process, providing user and operational support on applications to business users.
  • Operate with a limited level of direct supervision and exercise independence of judgment.
  • Act as SME to senior stakeholders and team members, assessing risks in business decisions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Java Developer.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Core Java and OOP concepts.
  • Experience in UI technologies including Angular UI.
  • Good understanding of Micro Services Architecture and SQL.
  • Proficient in XML parsing, JSON, and third-party libraries.
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Test Driven Development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Git, IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, Maven, TeamCity, Jenkins, JIRA, and automated testing tools like JUnit.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with advanced SOAP/REST client technologies.
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages or frameworks.
