About the position

Infosys is seeking a Java Developer who will interface with key stakeholders and utilize technical proficiency across different stages of the software development life cycle in JAVA applications. The role involves building high-throughput, fault-tolerant systems, creating high-level design artifacts, and delivering high-quality code. The candidate will also provide validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty, while being part of a collaborative and diverse learning culture.

Responsibilities

• Interface with key stakeholders to gather requirements and define application architecture.
• Build high-throughput, fault-tolerant systems in JAVA applications.
• Create high-level design artifacts for software development.
• Deliver high-quality code for assigned modules.
• Provide validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in lieu of education.
• At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in Core Java and Webservices.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 to 6 years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies and frameworks like Spring and Hibernate.
• Good knowledge of web services and REST services.
• Experience with enterprise web servers, preferably WebSphere or JBoss.
• Experience in software development life cycle and project life cycle activities.
• Experience in application/production support.
• Experience in the Banking domain.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a diverse/multiple stakeholder environment.
• Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
