About the position

The JAVA Developer position is a long-term contract opportunity with a well-known Financial Services Company, focusing on developing integrated and secure enterprise or web-based applications. The role involves working with advanced Java frameworks and contributing to large-scale software engineering initiatives. This position is ideal for experienced software engineers looking to work in a hybrid environment at a major financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering.
• Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience in developing integrated and secure enterprise or web-based applications using Java or J2EE.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience working with Java frameworks including Spring, Spring Batch, and Spring Boot Hibernate.
• 5+ years of web service or API development experience with REST or SOAP.
• 4+ years of software engineering experience in a distributed services architecture using Microservices or SOA.
• 5+ years of Oracle/MySQL/MS SQL Server experience.
• 5+ years of PL/SQL experience.
• 2+ years of Agile experience.
• 1+ year of Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) experience.
• Cloud computing experience.
