About the position

Genesis10 is seeking a Java Developer for a contract position in the financial industry. The role involves consulting on complex initiatives, analyzing multifaceted software engineering challenges, and collaborating strategically with client personnel. The position requires a strong background in Java development and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term Specialty Software Engineering challenges
• Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel

Requirements

• 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience or equivalent through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education
• Proficiency in Java, J2EE, JavaScript

Nice-to-haves

• 12+ years of experience in Java development including Coding, Unit Testing, Functional Automation using Micro Services, Java Spring Boot, REST API
• Expertise in Java 11/17, object-oriented design and analysis, programming designs and design patterns
• Experience in code management, build and deploy tools - Github, Jenkins, and UDeploy
• Strong working knowledge of building cloud native applications on Pivot Cloud Foundry (PCF) or Microsoft Azure
