About the position

Marathon TS is seeking a full-time Software Engineer to support its development teams on the GATES contract. The role focuses on developing and testing software for the company's suite of web applications, ensuring timely deliverables that meet customer needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability and innovation in handling complex assignments, applying teamwork and problem-solving skills in software development and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software.
  • Troubleshoot production problems related to software applications.
  • Research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.
  • Design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
  • Address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
  • Consult with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
  • Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
  • Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
  • Resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • Participate in the development of software user guides.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree related to computing, or equivalent years of experience in a related technical field.
  • Typically 4 to 6 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Java 8 / 11, Oracle 19c, Apache2, WebLogic 14, HTML5, CSS, PLSQL, SQL, XML, JavaScript, and scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of DevOps Tools and experience with Java and Linux Tech Stack.
  • Experience integrating multiple technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile Methodology.
  • Experience with Spring Web MVC.
  • Experience with Eclipse, Toad, Gradle, and GIT.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows.
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ certification.
  • Expert communication skills and proficiency in documentation.
  • A drive to succeed.
  • Eligibility to hold and maintain a SECRET security clearance (US Citizenship required; no dual citizenship).
