About The Position
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Java Developer with our client in the financial industry located in West Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN. This is a 24+ month contract position. The Java Developer will be involved in consulting on or participating in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering. The role requires contributing to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables and reviewing and analyzing moderately complex Software Engineering challenges that necessitate an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The developer will also contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables while leveraging a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaboration with client personnel in Software Engineering is essential, as well as troubleshooting and debugging applications/programs. The developer will perform unit testing, code reviews, and code quality and security checks for databases, applications, tools, networks, etc. Adhering to best practices and coding standards is a critical aspect of this role. The position requires a detail-oriented, independent, logical thinker who is a problem solver and team player, along with excellent communication, reporting, and analytical skills.
