About the position

Modis is seeking experienced Java programmers to join a collaborative team in Sacramento. The role focuses on implementing projects within specified time frames while providing technological expertise and contributing to the design and deployment of high-traffic applications.

Responsibilities

• Implement the project as specified within the planned time frame.
• Help specify the features of physical design.
• Estimate time and effort to complete each feature.
• Build or supervise the implementation of features.
• Prepare the product for deployment.
• Provide technology subject-matter expertise to the team.

Requirements

• Great verbal communication skills for a collaborative environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Excellent problem-solving ability.
• 5+ years as a Java Developer, coding, designing, and optimizing high-traffic, mission-critical applications.
• 5+ years with Java web application development technologies (JSP, Servlets, Javascript).
• 1+ years with JSF development.
• 1+ years of Spring framework experience.
• 1+ years creating or interfacing with SOA solutions and/or JMS solutions.
• 5+ years working with Oracle.
• 3+ years with XML technologies.
