As a Java Developer, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative solutions that empower our federal clients to enhance their service delivery to the American public. Your responsibilities will include applying application design and development across various technology areas, configuring software products and systems, and developing prototypes and proof of concepts across the technology stack. You will also be responsible for ensuring consistent quality in solution development and delivery, contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Requirements

  • Professional work experience developing in Java
  • Work experience with JEE or other Java frameworks (e.g. Spring)
  • Work experience using Java development tools (e.g. Eclipse, JUnit, Git)
  • Work experience with relational or other database platforms, SQL or other query languages
  • Experience developing Java Microservices

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering or Technical Science
  • Previous consulting experience and understanding customer/business needs
  • Experience with Java Application Servers such as Red Hat JBoss
  • Experience with data modeling and ORM tools (e.g. Hibernate)
  • Experience consuming data via service integration (i.e. REST and/or SOAP APIs)
  • Architecture design experience using common design patterns
  • Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS) components in solutions
  • Experience working in a DevSecOps environment, using tools such as Jenkins and Ansible in CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with performance testing and tuning
