About the position

We are seeking a Java Web Developer for a contract position in San Jose, CA, with a duration of 6 months. The ideal candidate will design and implement web applications using Java frameworks such as SpringBoot, Spring, Spring MVC, and Mybatis. The role involves offering integrated solutions and designs at the module and feature levels based on project requirements. The developer will collaborate with both internal and external teams to ensure project progress and completion. Responsibilities include conducting code reviews, managing end-to-end delivery (design, documentation, development, testing, and deployment), troubleshooting system issues, and maintaining project documentation. The position requires on-call duty with the ability to independently resolve online issues.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement web applications based on Java frameworks (SpringBoot, Spring, Spring MVC, Mybatis).
• Offer integrated solutions and designs on module/feature levels based on requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external team members to advance project progress.
• Conduct code reviews within the project group.
• Manage end-to-end delivery including design, documentation, development, testing, and deployment.
• Triage system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing sources of issues.
• Perform on-call duty to independently resolve online issues.
• Complete project-related documentation.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science is required.
• 5+ years of Java development experience.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems.
• Systematic problem-solving approach and strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with open-source software such as MySQL, Redis, ELK.
• Knowledge of cloud-related concepts and technologies.
• Proven experience with scripting languages such as Python and shell.
• Experience in the development of large-scale enterprise systems.
• Experience in the development of workflow systems.
• Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure.
• Ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps.
