About the position

Robert Half Technology is currently seeking an experienced Java Developer for an exceptional opportunity with a cutting-edge company. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software under limited direction and oversight. You will participate in departmental activities and contribute to collaborative design and implementation decision-making efforts. Additionally, you will be involved in the testing process through test review and analysis, testing, and certification of software. As a Java Developer, you will provide technical guidance and oversight for more junior developers on more complex projects, ensuring that all assigned deadlines and milestones are met. You will work closely with other software development staff and immediate supervisors, collaborating with company leaders and subject-matter experts in other departments to resolve questions and problems. Your contributions will also extend to the development of project schedules and workflows, where you will recommend changes and enhancements to software applications based on your insights and expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software under limited direction and oversight.
• Participate in departmental activities and contribute to collaborative design and implementation decision-making efforts.
• Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, testing, and certification of software.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight for more junior developers on more complex projects.
• Meet assigned deadlines and milestones.
• Work closely with other software development staff and immediate supervisors.
• Collaborate with company leaders and subject-matter experts in other departments to resolve questions and problems.
• Contribute to the development of project schedules and workflows.
• Recommend changes and enhancements to software applications.

Requirements

• 5 years or more of in-industry object-oriented programming experience, including Java and SQL.
• 2+ years of React experience and proficiency is highly desirable.
• Prior working experience in UX and UI designs, experience with React Native, and familiarity with Git is preferred.
• Knowledge of J2EE, swing, HTML, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Spring Framework and other popular web frameworks is desirable.
• Excellent reading and creating SQL scripts.
• Strong analytical abilities and professional office experience.
