About the position

Infosys is seeking a Lead Java Developer who will play a pivotal role in interfacing with key stakeholders and applying technical proficiency across various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This includes Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition, and Design. The Lead Java Developer will be responsible for creating high-level design artifacts and delivering high-quality code deliverables for a module. Additionally, this role involves leading validation for all types of testing and supporting activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty. The position is part of a learning culture where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued. The ideal candidate must be located within commuting distance of Austin, TX, or be willing to relocate to the area. The position may require up to 20% travel within the United States. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree or a foreign equivalent, although work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. A minimum of 4 years of Information Technology experience is required, with specific expertise in Java and Spring Boot. U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is mandatory, as the company is unable to sponsor visas at this time.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent; work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
  • Experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least 4 years of experience in Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, and Web Services.
  • Experience with data structures and algorithms for at least 4 years.
  • Experience in project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a global delivery environment.
