BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Java Developer for an opportunity in Richmond, VA, Chicago, IL, or Jacksonville, FL. This position is targeted to start as soon as possible, although the exact date may change. BCforward will provide official notice ahead of a confirmed start date. The expected duration of this role is 12 months, and it is classified as a contract position with a hybrid work model. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, following a 5x8 shift pattern. The pay range for this position is between $60 and $65 per hour, with actual compensation potentially varying based on factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities. This role does not include additional non-standard compensation such as benefits or paid time off. The Java Developer will be responsible for software development, particularly in Java, JavaScript, SQL, and computer science. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting the design and development of user-centric mobile applications. They will be adept at performing complex testing to refine application performance and functionality. The position requires at least 3 years of demonstrable experience in Java development, along with strong knowledge of Java languages and web development frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and Struts. Expertise in developing web applications using front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is also essential, as is a working knowledge of database technologies including MySQL and Oracle.
